Walter R Bussard

Walter Bussard passed away on July 4^th, following a battle with cancer, with his loving wife, Pam, and his youngest son, Michael, by his side. Walt, or Wally as his friends affectionately called him, was born in Cortez, Colorado to Ray and Esther Bussard. He lived the majority of his life in Utah where he retired from the Tooele Army Depot and then moved to Washington State.

Wally was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Esther Bussard; his brother “Dady” (Rollin Lee); his Mother-in-law and Father-in-law, Bennie and Marie Poole; brother-in-law Wayne Harlow and niece Dixie Ufford.

He is survived by the love of his life, Pamela Bussard and his 6 children: Terry (Maria) Bussard, Tom (Ramona) Bussard, Tammy (Jerry) Lard, Theo (Wesley) Brown, Teresa (Dwayne) Wells, and Mike (Hilary) Bussard as well as 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; his sister Jean Harlow and brother Martin Bussard.

Walt raised his children to turn to God in times of sadness, as well as in good times. Last year, when he began this battle, he said he knew where he was going and he was ready to meet the Lord when the time comes. He gained his independence and won the battle against cancer on Independence Day.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
