Audrey Louise Davis
November 26, 1929-November 1, 2017
Audrey Louse Davis was born on November 26, 1929 to parents Benjamin Carl Schaffer and Charlotte Agnes Schaffer (Kramer) in Cosmopolis, Washington.
She was an accomplished seamstress and was hired by Jantzen Knitting Mills as a young woman. This is where she met the love of her life, Bill Davis. After their marriage they built their dream home in Orchards, Washington. A career with Eddie Bauer Company took Audrey and Bill to Federal Way, Washington and Redmond, Oregon. After retirement they moved to their beloved Ocean Park, Washington, where they enjoyed the rest of their lives happily with family and friends. One of their favorite memories was out tuna fishing in the ocean on their friend’s boat.
Her brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews also spent many wonderful weekends enjoying all the beach activities with her and Bill.
Audrey was also a loyal volunteer with many different organizations. The local Food Bank and the Tides Paper where she would not miss a day. She continued her talent as a seamstress and kept very busy with sewing projects for people in the community.
Audrey is survived by her sisters, Jonnabelle Margheim and Kathy Parlet. Brothers, Paul Schaffer and Thomas Schaffer.
Audrey was preceded in death by her husband Bill Davis, her siblings, Theresa Leese, Linda (Winifred), Marcine, Benjamin Schaffer, Robert Schaffer and Dean Schaffer.
Although Audrey had no children of her own, her nieces and nephews were her pride and joy. They are James, Debra, Deana, Lori, Kimberly, Tanya, Rachel, Megan, Katie and Andrew who will miss her forever.
Audrey was very lucky to live a happy independent life surrounded by everyone she loved. We are also very lucky to have enjoyed our lives with such a kind compassionate soul.
The heavens above have gained a shining star for sure.
In lieu of a service Audrey has requested that her ashes be scattered out to sea.
Please make donations in Audrey’s name to the Ocean Park Food Bank.
