Anchen Jones

Anchen White Jones of Long Beach, Washington passed away peacefully in her sleep at home February 25, 2018. She was 82-years old.

Anchen is survived by her loving Daughter Dolly, Son-in-law Todd, Grandchildren Nickolas, Ryan, Christopher, Cassandra, Courtney, Grant, and Steve, plus Great Grandchildren Tyler, Keraline, Charolette, Oak, Jack, Jason, Mikayla, and Cassidy. Anchen was preceded in passing by her Husband Ray and her Son Scotty.

Born in Portland, Oregon in 1935 Anchen grew up in Milwaukie, Oregon attending Concord Grade School and graduating from Milwaukie High School class of 1953. Anchen attended Lewis & Clark College. Early in her career, Anchen worked for Air France and later the State of Oregon, from which she retired in 1986. Having spent many of her family summers and holidays on the Oregon and Washington coast, Anchen relocated to the Long Beach Peninsula upon retirement.

Anchen took pleasure in many activities, most of all spending time with her many friends playing Bridge, Pinochle, and Canasta. Anchen enjoyed playing Words-with-Friends, traveling to Mexico, taking Cruises, and spoiling her loving cat - Chance. Anchen loved planting flowers in her yard and feeding humming birds. Anchen relished giving and was always very generous to her family and friends, as well as to her favorite charities.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Anchen’s memory can be made to the South Pacific County Humane Society or the Ocean Beach School District.

The family will honor Anchen’s wish to be scattered at sea near by the Long Beach Peninsula in a private ceremony. Anchen will enjoy the fresh ocean air, beautiful scenery, and her many fond memories forever. We love you, Anchen.
