PORTLAND — Eloisa (Lica) Hernandez Villa Banister, 76, passed away in Portland, Oregon on Aug. 25, 2018.
The youngest of six children, she was born Oct. 15, 1941, in Yurecuaro, Michoacan, Mexico. She immigrated to San Diego at the age of 18. Lica then moved to Ocean Park, Wash., some years after marrying Leslie Banister in California. She enjoyed a good life on the Peninsula with many good friends. She and Robert Kirby became good friends as well as Joy Jensen and her good neighbors, Marge and Ike. Lica is survived by an older sister, Abigail Villa and her nephew, Jamie and niece, Abby. She had such a wonderful smile and loved her Seattle Seahawks. She will be greatly missed.
A memorial service is set for Saturday, Sept. 15, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Seaview, with a reception following.
